The TWIN LAKES 20 is a stunning 10-mile or 20-mile race that will prepare you for your Spring half/marathon experience without having to run alone. Enjoy the incredibly scenic, superfast, traffic-free course through the stunning Milton Keynes countryside.
NEW START TIMES FOR 2027 – MORE SPACE, BETTER RUNNING
For 2027, we’re introducing separate start times to give everyone more space and an even better race experience.
10 Mile – 08:45
20 Mile – 09:15
Using actual pace data from our 2026 runners, our modelling shows that the 30-minute stagger will reduce the number of 10-mile runners on the narrow canal section during the key crossover period by around 89%.
That means less congestion, easier overtaking and better race flow, while allowing us to keep the familiar Twin Lakes course.
And remember our unique 20-mile option: enter the 20, run just one 10-mile lap if you choose, and you’ll still receive your medal, tech T-shirt and official 10-mile time.
Whether you’re chasing a PB, using the event as key marathon training, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the 2027 start time change will deliver an even better race-day experience for every runner.

GETTING TO WILLEN LAKE
Willen Lake, V10 Brickhill Street, Milton Keynes, MK15 0DS
BY CAR: Use the postcode MK15 0DS in your Sat Nav.
If you are on the M1, exit at Junction 14 and follow the signs to Central Milton Keynes until you pick up the signs for Willen Lake.
BUS: Catch the number 8 bus from Milton Keynes centre to Woolstone Roundabout West.
Walking down from the bus stop, take the first right at the Redway junction under the main road, then take your first left into Willen Lake.
CYCLING: If you are local then take the stress out of race day and cycle to the venue.
